I don't post here as often as I should but politics has occupied a great deal of my time recently.
I am running for the position of County Chairman for the Wichita County Republican Party and I actually have an opponent. This means I am having to devote time and resources to winning a non-paying volunteer job. I believe it is worth it though as it is he very basic level of leadership within the Republican Party. Besides, I am enjoying the challenge.

I recently posted something about a new friend.
Now, I am pleased to announce that she has become more than a friend as we have decided to marry. We have not yet set a date but hope to complete our union of homes and life before th end of the year. We are in the process of locating a new home in Wichita Falls, with all the logisitics such a move requires - closing two homes and creating one.

I have not placed any blogs on this page, but I have one to enter today.
I want you to know about my new best friend, Diane Steinback. Diane is a Ft Worth native who ran away from home for many years to  travel with a husband who was in the Army. Several years ago she returned to Ft Worth to be nearer her mother. Diane is retired and now stays busy assisting her many friends who need transportation and assistance. She also sits in on the many evening games of cards and dominoes in the apartment complex where she lives.
